A men's mid-cut shoe with GORE-TEX® weather protection and a Vibram® outsole for reliable performance during alpine hiking in a wide range of terrain and weather conditions.

Reliable protection
The Alp Trainer 2 is a progressive hiking boot with a mid-cut shaft, a robust, high-quality suede and stretch upper, and a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining that reliably protects you on various terrains and in changing conditions. A generous rubber rand provides additional protection against rock edges and scree.
Adaptable and comfortable
The shoe offers a precise fit, securely encloses your foot, provides support, and is comfortable from the very first wear. Our proprietary, patented 3F System includes a steel cable and ensures firm ankle support and lateral stability, while the Flex Collar gives the ankle more freedom of movement backwards and increases comfort during descents. In addition, with the adjustable SALEWA® Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+), you can choose between different insoles to adapt the shoe volume to your needs. The climbing shoe lacing system also allows for individual tightening right down to the toes - for better performance on technical terrain.
Improved grip and traction
The optimized Vibram® Alpine Hiking outsole, exclusively offered by SALEWA®, improves performance and control on a wide variety of mountain terrains. Its special climbing, traction, and braking zones and aggressive lug design make it perform well even in wet and muddy conditions.
The Alp Trainer 2 is a lightweight, agile, and comfortable shoe - an excellent choice for high-alpine hikes.
