The Speedframe Pro Backfade Helmet was developed with input from our professional mountain bike athletes and, for good reason, received the highest rating (5 stars) in Virginia Tech's bicycle helmet rating program. This premium open-face mountain bike helmet offers a range of market-leading features that provide protection on every trail ride. Topping the list is the MIPS® Air Node protection system, a low-friction layer for fully ventilated, lightweight helmets that reduces rotational motion and redirects forces away from the brain in the event of a fall. Dual-density Varizorb™ EPS further enhances impact protection by distributing impact forces over a wider area. The BOA® Fit System allows micro-adjustments for a perfect fit on every ride. The Ionic+® liner is antimicrobial, odor-resistant, and wicks moisture away from the head. It's easy to remove and wash. The one-hand adjustable visor is compatible with both sunglasses and goggles.
