Versatile, wind- and water-repellent women's jacket with strategically placed TirolWool® Responsive insulation for mountaineering.

Alpine mixed routes on rock, ice, and snow are among the most demanding undertakings in mountain sports - whether in the Dolomites or the remotest corners of the world. In such activities, we need to be able to fully rely on our clothing to keep our bodies optimally protected amidst fluctuating internal and external temperatures.

This redesigned model of our established Ortles Hybrid TirolWool® Responsive Jacket boasts its proven hybrid body-mapping structure: Durastretch inserts are used on the back and sides, which, thanks to their wool content (22 percent), offer a particularly comfortable fit and provide freedom of movement due to the elastane. Additionally, strategically placed insulation zones made of TirolWool® Responsive ensure excellent thermoregulation of the body and can provide warmth even when wet.

The TirolWool® Responsive material used is obtained, on the one hand, from valuable wool of Tyrolean mountain sheep, and on the other hand, the insulation material is refined with Responsive yarns. These yarns contain thermoreactive minerals that recycle the far-infrared energy (FIR) emitted by the body and slowly release it again. This creates sustained, long-lasting warmth. If it gets stormy or really cold, the snug, insulated, and adjustable hood at the back offers additional weather protection. If temperatures rise - or the intensity increases - the jacket can be quickly stowed in its own pocket.

As part of the Salewa Committed collection, the jacket is equipped with a PFC-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish. Furthermore, the Durastretch material consists of 22 percent fine merino wool, guaranteeing a comfortable feel against the skin.
