Salewa Winter Mate 28L Women's Backpack
A 28-liter women's backpack for ski touring and snowshoeing with a special women-specific fit and winter-specific attachment options.
The Dolomites – “the most beautiful mountains in the world” – offer a tangled network of peaks, open rock faces, and snow-covered valleys in the winter months.
Our Winter Mate women's backpack offers you 28 liters of volume: the ideal capacity for ski touring, splitboarding, and snowshoeing when you don't want to be overloaded. Our proprietary, lightweight, and breathable Dry Back Contact carrying system is tailored to the female anatomy and features 3D air channels in the EVA back panel to ensure you sweat less – for more comfort on winter days, especially during strenuous activity.
Winter-specific features include: parallel ski attachment, ice axe, snowboard and snowshoe attachment, avalanche safety pocket for quick access to shovel and probe, a full-length zipper for quick access to all contents, and special buckles that are easy to operate even with gloves. In addition, there is a secure valuables compartment with a key holder. The Winter Mate is made from robust, double ripstop 420-denier polyester and 750-denier polyester with a PFC-free, water-repellent coating that causes water to bead up and keeps the backpack contents dry.
